Welcome to our 18th lesson. Today we're going to revise conditional sentences and learn some new words and expressions.

First let's watch this video:





1- Match the sentences with the pictures (page 36 WB)



2- Complete the sentences with the verbs in brackets to make FIRST or SECOND conditional sentences (page 36 WB)


Now, let's revise some time conjunctions and practise: 

  • Unless: a menos que 
  • If: si
  • Until: hasta
  • When: cuando
  • As soon as: tan pronto como

3- Circle the correct words (page 36 WB)


4- Complete the sentences with: UNLESS, IF, UNTIL, WHEN or  AS SOON AS (page 40 SB)



5- Complete the sentences with the correct time conjunction (page 36 WB)

Now let's learn some expressions related to HONESTY:
  • cheat: hacer trampa
  • get away with (something): Salirse con la suya con respecto a ...
  • hide the truth: ocultar la verdad
  • do the right thing: hacer lo correcto
  • tell a lie: decir una mentira
  • be open about (something): ser sincero con respecto a (algo)
  • tell the truth: decir la verdad
  • own up to (something): hacerse responsable (de / por algo)

We can classify these expression in two categories according to whether they show positive (GOOD) or negative behaviour (BAD)

Welcome to our 17th lesson! Today we're going to concentrate our work in two skills, LISTENING and WRITING.

Let's go to pages 33 and 34 in the WB. 

1- Look at the map. Where is Cornwall?

2- Listen to a conversation between Annie, Ben and the new girl. CIRCLE the correct answers:

Answer these questions:
What kind of emails are Burcu's and Sarah's?....Formal or informal?...yes, they are INFORMAL,because there are lots of contractions and friendly words/ expressions not normally used in a formal kind of writing.

 8- Answer the questions about Sarah's email. They are all about writing informally.
